چکیده

The demand for skin-whitening agents is high across the world, including Asian countries. An extensive screening using a tyrosinase inhibition assay was performed in order to discover novel plant materials. In our research program investigating safe and effective agent, 50% ethanolic extracts prepared from discarded parts of Prunus persica were screened vitro inhibitory activity. Among tested, twig extract showed most potent activity: 38% at 500 µg/mL. investigation active compounds found four flavanones that acted as moderate inhibitors, (?)-prunin, persiconin, (+)-dihydrokaempferol, (?)-naringenin. These only observed following preliminary quantification by HPLC, with concentrations: 1.8 mg/g sample; 0.8 (?)-naringenin, 1.7 sample. results suggest can be more useful compared other plant. addition, new constituent identified, namely isoquercitrin, which suggests source flavones flavanones. Further studies on identification are now underway laboratory.
